It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lucille Pitocco, beloved wife, mom, grandma, and Gigi, who departed this life on December 18, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on November 2, 1937, in Brooklyn, NY, Lucille was a devoted Catholic and a cherished member of the Christ the King R.C. Church in Commack, where she dedicated countless hours crafting rosaries for her parish.
Lucille was predeceased by her beloved husband of over 45 years, Mario Pitocco, and is lovingly remembered by her children: Paula (Angelo) Longo, Steve (Carla) Pitocco, and the late Scott Pitocco. Lucille was a proud grandma to Joseph, Angela, Vincent, Peter, Steven, and Nicholas, and a loving GiGi to her great-grandchildren, Maverick, Angelo, Riley, and Lucas.
As a head teller at Long Island Savings Bank and several other financial institutions, Lucille exemplified hard work and dedication. She enjoyed travel, frequently retreating to the serene Caribbean, and was an avid walker, cherishing moments spent with her family, whom she devotedly cared for through her compassion and patience.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Christ the King R.C. Church on December 22, 2025, at 11:00 am. Internment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.Lucille Pitocco will be profoundly missed by all who knew her, and her spirit will live on in the hearts of her loving family. May she rest in peace.
Donations may be made in Lucille's name to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital.
