Lucille Wenglar

Lucille Margaret Wenglar, 86, of Sugar Land, Texas, passed away on August 18, 2025. She was born on June 22, 1939, in Hallettsville, Texas, to Fred and Pauline Schindler. Lucille graduated from Sacred Heart Catholic School and went on to earn her vocational nursing certification from The Ringer Memorial Hospital School of Vocational Nursing. After a fulfilling career in nursing, she continued serving her community through many years of dedicated work at local charitable thrift stores. For more than 50 years, Lucille made her home in Sugar Land, where she poured her heart into caring for her family and her beloved yard. She could often be found outside tending to her home, a place she cherished deeply. Lucille's strong devotion to God, her family, and her friends was evident in every part of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Pauline Schindler, and her brothers, John Henry Schindler and Eugene Schindler. Lucille is survived by her son, Darrell Wenglar, and daughter-in-law, Polly Wenglar; her siblings, Bill Schindler and his partner Randy Branstetter, and Gilbert Schindler and his wife Mary Rose; and her granddaughters, Paige Wenglar and Tatum Wenglar. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., with funeral services beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg, Texas. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Lucille's memory by donating to a charity of your choice.
