Lucinda “Cindy” Lynn Bucher, age 63, of French Settlement, Louisiana, passed away on August 30, 2025. Born on March 12,1962, in Hammond, LA, Cindy lived a life marked by love, devotion, and an enduring joy for life’s simplest and most meaningful moments.Cindy was a beautiful and dedicated wife, a loving mother and mother-in-law, and a proud and adoring grandmother. Her heart belonged to her husband of 43 years, Andrew “Andy” Bucher, with whom she first connected through a shared passion for softball — a sport she not only played but coached with enthusiasm in her younger years. She found her greatest joys in two places: the kitchen and the great outdoors. Cindy was an avid and gifted cook, spending countless hours preparing meals, watching cooking shows, and diving into the pages of her well-loved cookbook collection. Outside, she found peace among the birds — especially purple martins — and on the water, where spotting turtles always brought her happiness.A woman of deep faith, Cindy spent years studying the Bible each night. Her family takes comfort in knowing that she is now in Heaven, hearing those cherished stories straight from Jesus Himself.
Cindy is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Betty Bauerle; her father-in-law, Paul Bucher; and her brother-in-law, “Little” Paul Bucher.
She is lovingly survived by her husband, Andrew “Andy” Bucher; her son and daughter-in-law, Austin and Morgan Bucher; and her two beautiful grandchildren, Amelia (9) and Benjamin (6) Bucher.
