Lucy Marie Asher, 73, of Payne, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Lutheran Hospital.

Lucy was born in Beverly, KY on March 24, 1950, daughter of the late Flora (Ogan) & John D. Knuckles.

Lucy will be remembered most for her love for God and her church. Through her faith, she was able to build a family with her late husband, Edgar, that she loved with all her heart. Lucy was the definition of "service above self," always lending a helping hand to others. She was a hard worker, and enjoyed spending time reading her bible, cooking, and, of course, spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She will be sadly missed by her children, John Asher & Angela Pachuta; siblings, Walter Dean Knuckles, Lana June Durham, Brenda Gail Taylor, & Arlene Knuckles; 9 grandchildren; & 4 great grandchildren.

Lucy was also preceded in death by her husband, Edgar; daughter, Amanda; grandson, Darian; & brothers, John Paul & Dale Leon Knuckles.

Viewing will be Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 9-11:45 AM with a memorial service following at 12 PM at the Payne Church of the Nazarene, 509 Orchard St., Payne, OH 45880.

She will be laid to rest in Wiltsie Cemetery, with a graveside service on Monday, January 8, 2024 at 2 PM.

Memorials are to the Payne Church of the Nazarene or the Lifewise Academy.
