Lucy Gay DeLoatche-Nichols-Frangella-Hildreth, age 83, of Ocala, Florida, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2025, in Ocala, Florida. She was born February 14, 1942, in Norfolk, Virginia to the late James Floyd DeLoatche and Elizabeth V. DeLoatche.
Lucy was a retired dedicated print shop owner in both Virginia Beach, Virginia and Ocala, Florida. She was also the founding creator of the Rise and Shine Cloggers of Ocala, Florida where she loved to dance and teach the art of clogging to others.
Lucy was sadly preceded by death by her husbands, Robert Theodore Nichols and Frank Frangella; brothers, Thomas DeLoatche and James DeLoatche; grandson, Jason Nichols followed by her son Robert T. Nichols, III.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Hildreth; brother William DeLoatche; sister, Edith DeLoatche-Chaplin; son and daughter-n-law, Timothy and Connie Nichols of Ocala, Florida; daughter and son-in-law Tamela and Roy Stafford of Ocala, Florida; daughter-n-law Laila Nichols of Ocala, Florida; eight grandchildren, Phillip Stafford, Pamela Stafford, Travis Stafford, Paige Nichols, Krista Nichols, Tiffany Jefferson, Emily Nichols and Summer Nichols; and great-grandchildren Penelope, Olivia and Bella.
In loving memory: the family respectfully requests that no formal service or gathering take place. Instead, they encourage loved ones and friends to remember and celebrate the cherished moments shared.
