Lucy Faye / Duckworth Rhyne

Lucy "Faye" Duckworth Rhyne, 92, of Valdese, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022. Faye was born December 8, 1929, in Burke County, to the late Marshall Lee Duckworth and Sally Mae Mace Duckworth. She worked at Valdese Weavers for nearly forty eight years. Faye was of the Christian faith and attended East Valdese Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband's James Parise and Claude Rhyne; and nine brothers and sisters. Faye is survived by her son, Dennis Parise and wife Anita. A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese with Pastor Chip Stallings and Rev. Ernie Richards officiating. Interment will follow at Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Service.
