Lucy Cervantes Robles

Lucy Cervantes Robles, 75, of Hudson, NC, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, February 28, 2026, after being surrounded by the voices, prayers, and hands of those she loved most. Her final hours were filled with the same love she gave so freely throughout her life. She danced into Heaven wrapped in the presence of her family.

Lucy was born March 28, 1950, in Howard County, Texas to Jessie Cervantes and Jesse Ontiveros Cervantes. With a heart full of compassion, she spent many years serving as a home healthcare nurse, touching the lives of those she cared for. It was more than a career; it was an extension of who she was.

Her Catholic faith guided her throughout her life. She prayed faithfully and trusted in God's presence through both joy and hardship. It shaped the way she treated others and the way she carried herself each day.

Those who will carry her love forward include her beloved children: Jennifer Turner of Granite Falls, NC; Joseph Turner and wife Carole of Hudson, NC; and her cherished Kristen Turner, lovingly known as "Krissy," the granddaughter she claimed as her own; her sister: Rosario Medrano of Big Spring, Texas; her grandchildren: Desirae Murphy and husband Joe; Caleb Turner and wife Haley; Anita Bryant, Dwayne Bryant and wife Sharon, and Jason Bryant, Jr. and wife Ashley; six great-grandchildren and one more on the way; two special Godchildren: Robert Fierro and Esiquia Kidd; and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loves so dearly.

Lucy was reunited in Heaven with her parents; her husband, Alberto "Bodine" Robles; her sister, Mary Helen "Neni" Doporto and three brothers, Juan, Esquito, and Oscar Cervantes.

Visitation will be 9 AM until 9 PM Tuesday, March 10, 2026 with the vigil service will be 7 PM at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral mass will be 10 AM Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at Holt Trinity catholic Church. Committal service will be Friday, March 13, 2026 10 AM at Mount Olive Memorial Park.
