She lived her life with kindness, generosity, and a deep love for her family and friends. She loved visiting her family and friends, belly laughing, traveling, cruising, and loved going to Florida during the winter months. Lucy touched countless lives with her sense of humor, her caring spirit, her warmth, and friendship.
She is survived by her best daughter, Linda and best son-in-law, Brad Kuehn; best friend, Twila Huehn; best husband, Rick Rodgers; best grandchildren, Eric Kuehn, Amber (Chris) Mednicoff, and Wesley (Katie) Johnson; best great-grandchildren, Maddison (Louie) Mednicoff Gonzales, Keaton Kuehn, Kendra Kuehn, Max Mednicoff, Charlie Mednicoff, Lucy Mednicoff, Emrys Johnson, Mila Kuehn, Wyn Johnson, and Cambria Johnson; sisters, Mary Plenge and Edith (Charles) Hoppe; brother, Elmer (Marcia) LaBrash; many nieces and nephews. Lucy was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Edith LaBrash; brother, Earl “Buster”; sister-in-law, Julia LaBrash; brothers-in-law, Ken Rodgers and Robert (Bob) Plenge; niece, Cathy (Plenge) Tart; great-great grandchild, Kaid Beisch and her bonus son, Brad Huehn.
A service to honor Lucy’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 16, 2025, with visitation one hour prior at Crane Community Chapel in Austin. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate a beautiful life well-lived. Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in the love Lucy gave so freely and the lasting impact she left on us all. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
