Lucy Eileen Smith

Miss. Lucy Eileen Smith, 86, of Richmond, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 12, 2026, at her home.
She was born in Madison County, Kentucky on April 25, 1939, the daughter of the late Charlie & Bertha Hisle Smith. Eileen was an accomplished seamstress and since the early 1960's, she worked out of her home doing alterations and wedding dress design for countless people. One highlight was when she was hired by the band KISS to help sew and design some of their band concert costumes. Aside from her work, Eileen loved Jesus, her family and neighbors – in that order, and you could often find her tending to her flowers and garden. She was of the Baptist Faith.
She is survived by a sister-in-law: Emma Smith as well as several nieces & nephews, and several special friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Hubert Smith, Wade Smith & Clyde Smith; and three sisters, Ada Marie Smith, Lena Hymer & Fannie Smith.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, W. Main St., Richmond, with Bro. Owen Moody officiating. Burial will follow in the Pilot Knob Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 1:30 PM Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Casen Mills, David Smith, Shaun Ballard, Daniel Horn, Mark Huguely and Pug Abner.
Paul Benson will serve as a honorary pallbearer.
