Lucy M. Straub, 93, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 3, 2026 with family by her side. She was born July 16, 1932 to the late Herbert S. and Mamie (Flory) Straub.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Dianne (Hainly) Orwig, Robert Hainly, Cindy David, Jody Greiner, Frank Straub, and Kenneth Straub; great nieces and nephews, Heather, Brent, Julia, Joseph, Hillary, Jesse, Kristina, Thomas, and Tammy; 6 great-great nieces; and 2 great-great nephews. She is predeceased by her siblings, Herbert W. Straub, Nellie A. Hainly, and Franklin R. Straub.
Lucy was a lifetime member of the Campbelltown UMC, her faith and relationship with the Lord was everything to her. She was a member of The Ladies Auxiliary of the Campbelltown Vol. Fire Co. and she enjoyed gardening and caring for the birds and squirrels at her home. She also played the piano. She was always there for her family, she never said no, to helping, cooking, or whatever was needed.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026 at 11 am at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078. A viewing and time of visitation will be held from 10 am until the start of the service. Burial will follow the service at Campbelltown United Christian Church Cemetery, Palmyra.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in her memory to her church, Campbelltown United Methodist Church, 2760 Horseshoe Pike, Palmyra, PA 17078, P.O. Box 21, Campbelltown, PA 17010-0021.
