Ludmila Sgarlata, age 102, long-time resident of Chicago, formerly of Palmyra, MO, passed away Wednesday morning, October 29, 2025 at her home, peacefully, with her family at her side. Born September 19, 1923 in Poland to the late Michael and the late Anastasia Sachowsky, Ludmila was the beloved wife of the late Carmen; loving mother of George (Dawn), and Alex (Cynthia); cherished grandmother of the late Nicholas Frank Sgarlata. Ludmila will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Resting at St. George Orthodox Cathedral, 917 N. Wood St., Chicago, on Sunday, November 9, 2025 from the time of Panikhida, 12 p.m., until 2:30 p.m. Funeral Service Monday, November 10, 2025 10 a.m. at St. George Orthodox Cathedral. Interment Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove, IL.
