Barbara Baranski

Barbara Anne Baranski, age 77, of Chicago, passed away Sunday morning, October 12, 2025. Born May 6, 1948 to the late Joseph and the late Gertrude Bates, Barbara was the beloved wife of the late Richard Baranski, Jr. for 43 years; loving mother of Matthew and the late Timothy; dear sister-in-law to Susan (Rich) Kehoe, Stacie (Marek) Rachelski, and Sandy (Paul) Janis; fond aunt to Emily, Nicholas, Stephanie, Jonathan, and Jeffrey; fond cousin of Jim Swieca. A long-time resident of Chicago, Barbara was a devoted Chicago Sports fan. She was a long-time parishioner at St. Constance Church, was a member of the Women's Club, and sang in the church choir. Her genuine sweet and caring nature was recognized early on when she was nominated homecoming queen in high school. She went on to obtain a career working for United Airlines as a ticket reservationist. Barbara always cared for others and especially enjoyed cooking for her family. She is fondly remembered by all for always smiling and putting on a happy face, and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
