Luis Bautista

Luis Anastacio Bautista, age 59, of Karnes City, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of December 3, 2025. He was born on April 30, 1966 in Tamaulipas, Mexico.

Luis was a simple man who valued a strong work ethic. As a skilled contractor and carpenter, he took immense pride in his profession. Luis cherished his family, consisting of his wife, children, and grandchildren, and considered time spent with them a true source of joy. A devout Catholic, he led a life guided by his faith. His passing will be deeply felt by all.

Luis is survived by his wife, Lydia Salinas Bautista; children, Lindsey (Austin) Bautista Konjoyan, Louie Bautista, Tanya Lizeth Anastacio Rodriguez, and Monserrat Anastacio Verãstegui; grandchildren, Laiyla and Logan Konjoyan; mother, Maria Anastcio; sisters, Juanna and Ramona; brother, Tomas; mother-in-law, Guadalupe Salinas; sister-in-laws, Lenore Salinas, and Lisa (Lorena) Salinas; and brother-in-law, Lorenzo Salinas. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 8th at Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel in Karnes City. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 9th at St. Cornelius Catholic Church in Karnes City. Burial will follow at the Karnes City Cemetery.
