Luis Alejandro Flores, 67, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2025, surrounded by his family after complications with colon cancer.
Luis was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala. At the age of seven, his family came to the United States and settled in Oklahoma and then Fort Collins, Colorado, where he graduated from Poudre High School in 1975. He was very mechanically inclined and could fix almost anything from airplanes to HVAC. He was a licensed commercial aircraft mechanic for many years. Additionally, he received his HVAC license in 1998 from Front Range Community College, Fort Collins, CO. Luis was the owner of Duds N’Suds on Dell Range Blvd for many years and enjoyed meeting locals, bull riders and country stars during Frontier Days.
Luis had a special love for his dogs, hunting, gun collecting, and spending time with his family.
Luis is survived by his two children, Michelle (Ryan) Zender of Westminster, CO, and Kelly (Johnathan) Callahan of Wellington,CO; Eight grandchildren, Zach, Zane, Wyatt, Zoe, Sterling, Hayden, Zailey and Zia; and his siblings, Carol Sue Flores of Cheyenne, WY, Patrica Flores of Fort Collins, CO, Clifford Flores of San Francisco, CA; and his mother, Virginia Flores of Fort Collins, CO; and his fiancé, Stacia DeFer and her children. He is preceded in death by his Father, Luis E. Flores.
The Funeral Mass will be at St. Joseph Catholic Parish Fort Collins, CO on Tuesday, April 22 at 2:00pm followed by burial and reception.
