Luis Jalime Ramirez, a cherished patriarch and a beacon of faith, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2024, in Ruskin, Florida, just shy of his 94th birthday. Born on March 20, 1930, in Medellin, Colombia, Luis's journey was marked by courage, love, and an unwavering commitment to his family.
Luis's life was a testament to his faith-filled nature and his role as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Liliosa Ramirez, with whom he shared a life full of joy and companionship. Together, they raised a family that included their daughter Maria, their son Luis A. Ramirez, who, along with his wife Carol, continued the family legacy, and their son Mauricio Ramirez, who each inherited their father's strength and loving spirit. Luis was also a guiding light to his daughter Lina Bullard and her husband Steven, instilling in them the values of resilience and faith.
Preceded in death by his son-in-law Luis Mario, Mr. Ramirez's memory will be honored and cherished by his grandchildren, Carlos, Hayden, Diego, Roman, Gabriel, and Hartley, who knew him as a source of wisdom and kindness. His great-grandchildren, Alana, Austin, and Asher will remember their great-grandfather as a man who paved the way for their future with his pioneering spirit.
Luis's life was one of service and hard work, exemplified by his long-standing career as a truck driver. His work was not just a job but a means to provide for his family and ensure they had opportunities for a better life. His colleagues knew him as a man of integrity and dedication, qualities that he also brought to his involvement in various associations throughout his career.
Beyond his work, Luis was a man of varied interests, but above all, he was a man of faith. His belief in the power of prayer and the importance of church community was a cornerstone of his life. He was a pioneer not only in his professional endeavors but in his personal life, leading his family with a spirit of adventure and a strong moral compass.
Luis's legacy is one of love and courage. He faced life's challenges with a faith-filled heart and always emerged with a smile and a word of encouragement for those around him. His friends and family will remember him as a courageous man, never shying away from the difficulties life presented, and always providing a loving embrace or a helping hand to those in need.
