Luis Reyes, age 93, of Shorewood, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. He was born on March 1, 1932, in Arecibo, Puerto Rico.
Luis is survived by his loving children: Mario (Brenda) Reyes, Lourdes (Jaime) Oria, and Marilyn (Jose) Perez; cherished grandchildren: Michelle (Edgardo) Barboza, Christine "Tina" (Samuel) Wilson, Jose Luis (Jacqueline) Perez, Daniel Perez, Ashley Perez, Arman (Lindsey) Reyes, Ariana Reyes, and Andres (Diana) Martinez; and beloved great-grandchildren: Mariana Barboza, Mateo Barboza, Noah Wilson, Lucia Wilson, Jayson Edward Reyes, Valerie Rose Reyes, Michael Luis Reyes, Kayce Dean Reyes, Rory Alan Reyes, Cruz Perez, Jesenia Martinez, AJ Martinez, Isaac Martinez, and Angelica Martinez. He is also survived by his dear sister, Hilda Reyes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Candida (née Colon) Reyes; his beloved wife, Josefa Reyes; and his siblings, Franciso Reyes, Pedro Reyes, Freddie Reyes, Amparo Oliveras, Andrea Reyes, Oliva Reyes, Candi Reyes, Lydia Reyes, and Lucy Pastrana.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Homes & Crematory, 24021 Royal Worlington Dr., Naperville.
An additional visitation will take place on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Auburn Memorial Park, Stickney, Illinois.
