Luke Evan Jarrett, age 32, of Hilliard, Ohio, passed away on December 13, 2025. Luke was born on May 26, 1993 in
Cincinnati, Ohio.
Throughout his life, he lived in over 20 homes, places that included Poland, Ohio; Edinburgh, Scotland; and ultimately Columbus, Ohio, where he settled in 2017 and built a life he deeply cherished.
Luke is survived by his beloved wife, Marisa (Centofanti) Jarrett, and their soon-to-be daughter, Alina Simone Jarrett, whom he was eagerly awaiting with excitement and love. He is also survived by his parents, Eric Jarrett and Joanie (Mason) Jarrett; his brothers, Caleb Jarrett and David Jarrett; and many extended family members, friends, and loved ones who will carry his memory forward.
Luke graduated from Firhill High School in Edinburgh, Scotland in 2011. He began his professional life as a Creative and Multimedia Director before following his growing passion for technology into software engineering. Luke attended Tech Elevator in Columbus, Ohio, graduating in 2019. He went on to eventually work in technology solutions at NetJets as a software engineer. He was known for his dedication, intelligence, and collaborative spirit.
Luke married Marisa on June 3, 2017, in Youngstown, Ohio. Luke took immense pride in building a life with Marisa and was overjoyed as they prepared to welcome their first child.
Anyone who met Luke would remember his sense of humor, quiet kindness, and generosity. He listened deeply, offered thoughtful advice, and was always willing to lend a helping hand when asked. Luke was an advocate for others and a steady, calming presence-someone who brought peace into a room simply by being there. He valued deep conversations and getting to know those in his life. He was always authentically and confidently himself.
Luke was passionate about technology and could answer any question someone had for him. He had a lifelong love of movies, film scores, and discovering obscure music artists. He enjoyed strategy games, took pride in building and upgrading his own PC, and gaming weekly with his brothers. He always enjoyed a good cup of coffee. He also loved to travel, but mostly treasured spending quiet evenings at home with his wife and their two dogs.
Luke will be profoundly missed and forever remembered for the love he gave, the lives he touched, and the steadiness he brought to those around him.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 21st, 2025 from 2 PM-4 PM at Journey Community Church, 11100 Lafayette Plain City Road,
