Luke was born April 16, 2001 to Mark Zumbaugh and Tara King. He was raised in the Ishpeming area and graduated from Ishpeming High School with the Class of 2019. Following graduation, he enlisted in the army reserves. Luke was a music enthusiast and was a self-taught guitarist. Luke's passion while growing up was skateboarding. Luke enjoyed fishing, the outdoors and was recently getting into grouse, turkey, and deer hunting. Luke loved learning new things from his father-in-law and utilized YouTube as his other go-to learning aid. Luke was known as a hard worker, a reliable friend, low maintenance and humble person. Luke was a proud homeowner as that was a goal of his. Above all, Luke was a devoted husband and proud father.
On May 31, 2021, Luke married Alysha Nelson. Together, they welcomed their daughter, Reagan, on July 24, 2024. Reagan was Luke's greatest accomplishment in his life.
Surviving are his wife, Alysha, and daughter, Reagan; Mark (Jodi) Zumbaugh of Gaylord; his mother Tara King of Ishpeming; his brother Joseph Zumbaugh of Milwaukee; his step-brother, Kelin Burger of Gaylord; his grandparents Denise and Douglas King; multiple uncles, aunts and cousins; and his three best friends, Peter Ruokola, Jaedan Pascoe, and Cale Anttila.
