My first memory of Luke was them leaving their dorm hall door open with roommate Rob on the first day of move-in. I was pretty alone at this time but I saw he was playing League of Legends, a game which our shared interest in created a point of connection, and they invited me in and I got to know Luke and Rob, which resulted in lifetime friendships. We would proceed to spend evenings climbing around where we shouldn't. We moved in together my Sophomore year, and upon returning to Washington State after that year, Luke would be one of the people I missed the most when thinking about my short time spent in Colorado. They graciously hosted me when I returned a couple years later for a friend's wedding and having the opportunity to reconnect in person, after many, many hours spent chatting online is something I'll hold close.
