Lula Bell Pulliam Clark was born March 13, 1939 and Caswell County, North Carolina to Clea Pulliam and Maggie Myrtle Moore Pulliam. Following a period of declining health Lula Bell peacefully transitioned while she was at the hospice home of Alamance Caswell on February 5, 2025.
For several years, Lula Bell worked within the textile industry to provide and meet the needs of her family. She was married to the late WC Clark and to this union six children were born. Lula Bell was a member of Allen's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church for her entire life where she enjoyed attending and worshiping the Lord. In her times of leisure, you could find her on the fishing banks, cooking, sewing and making beautiful handmade quilts, and most of all watching her soap operas and westerns. To know her was to love her, and she will be greatly missed by all of her loving family and friends.
Those left to cherish her memory are her devoted companion: Fred Shoffner; two children, James, E. Clark and Anita M. Clark, three siblings, Georgia Anna Pulliam, Nannie Ruth Pulliam and Clea O. Pulliam Jr.; nine grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, as well as a host of loving nieces and nephews cousins and dear friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was proceeded in death by four children, Clemon J. Clark, Kerry C. Clark, Marvin, D Clark and Edna D. Clark as well as her siblings, Samuel Poteat, Roy, J. Moore, Rev.Charlie L. Pulliam, Frank E. Pulliam, Catherine Vaughan Hattie Mae Pulliam and Eula Jean Farrish.
