Lula Forbes Obituary

Mrs. Forbes, the daughter of the late Lewis and Lizzie B. Foster, was born in Madison County on July 6, 1942. She retired from Westinghouse / Phillips Lighting and went on to work as a bus monitor for Madison County Board of Education. She enjoyed tending flowers and quilting.
Lula Belle united in marriage to William Henry "Billy" Forbes who preceded her in death.
Survivors include: her brother: Waydell Foster, her sister: Loretta (& Ricky) Powell, her "adopted daughter" LaDonna Rhorer and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Forbes was also preceded in death by her daughter: Henrietta Forbes, three brothers: Bobby Foster (an infant,) Ronnie Foster and Billy Foster and three sisters: Nancy Barrett, Thelma Hoover and Betty Patton.
A Committal Service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, September 12, 2025, at the Richmond Cemetery Shelter which is located in section L of the cemetery. Rev. Steve Masters will officiate.
The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be made to Compassionate Care Center, Isaacs Ln, Richmond.
Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
