February 7, 1939 – April 11, 2025. Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend went to be with the Lord on April 11, 2025, surrounded by her family. Lula Belle "Lou" Parker, age 86 was born February 7, 1939, in Marble Hill Missouri to Jess and Sarah Edith Pulliam. Lou was the 2 youngest of 7 children. At the age of 13 she moved to California and built her life.
Lou met the love of her life, John Parker and married in 1963. They started their family after John served his country in 1968. Lou was eager to be a wife, mother and homemaker. Her passions were playing the guitar and singing with John and their friends, working in the yard and sitting behind her sewing machine. She also loved to bowl with her league in the 80's and had a 200-point average game. She spent many days and hours supporting the TUHS Band Boosters during her children's high school years.
She is survived by her daughters, Vicki Lynne Parker McLean and Tammy Yvonne Parker Woods along with her 6 grandchildren: Hannah Emily Parker, Luke Elliot Parker, Ewan Morgan McLean, Mark Aksel Woods, Farrah Sinead McLean and Drake Parker Woods, her sisters, Effie Parker and Mary Crowder. She was also blessed with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that became her family. She is preceded in death by her loving husband John Wayne Parker and her son Robert "Dino" Dean Parker, and her parents Jess and Sarah Edith Pulliam and her 4 brothers Dutch, Wiz, Junior and Russel.
As a self-taught seamstress her talents ranged from altering clothes, making the TUHS auxiliary uniforms throughout the 1990's and car interiors. She was best known for her creativity in upholstery. She worked with interior decorators to design homes redoing furniture, drapes and pillows. When Lou put her mind to it, she could accomplish anything.
Lou thought of her grandchildren as the greatest gifts in life. She gave them all love and knew exactly how to care for and nature each one. She loved her grandchildren immensely caring for them from infancy to middle school and cherished each moment with them, guiding them to have their own personal relationship with Jesus. She was a dedicated faithful woman, praying daily and reading the bible. Sitting at her kitchen she loved talking about the Lord.
Lou had the love of so many people. She has such a pure, beautiful soul and was adored by her family and friends. She put everyone above herself and would do anything for anyone in need of help. Lou's gentle spirit touched so many lives. We are forever grateful for the joy and love she brought into our lives. Forever remembered.
