She would make big holiday and Sunday meals. She made the best fry bread and beans. Like her mother, she loved to sew and she made various crafts, including Indian bead jewelry, quilts, and purses. She loved gospel and Choctaw gospel music. For a time, she played the piano at her local church. She studied music at U.M.H.B. She was a member of the World Evangelist Ministry. Lula (he called her “Hun”) has been married to Toney for 43 years. She found her strength in God.
