Lula Rebecca "Becky" Yates

Lula Rebecca Kierce Yates 'Becky' 77, of Lake Wales, Florida passed away on March 17, 2022. Born in Pelham, Georgia to Murdock and Georgia Kierce. Becky moved to Lucerne Park at a very young age. Becky dedicated her Life to the Lord at an early age and rededicated her Life to the Lord after her husband passed. She was a manager at shop n' go for many years before becoming a valued employee at Sunshine Drugs in Dundee where she retired and began what she loved, being a grandma but as the kids called her 'Nanny'. Becky enjoyed playing bingo, and she enjoyed the constant joking with everyone. She enjoyed camping and boy there was always a story to tell from every camping adventure, she would always be on the lookout for her favorite restaurant 'Cracker Barrel' making sure to point every one of them out to her family as they were traveling. Her love for people was unconditional and she would help anyone she could. Her love for animals was indescribable, she took in every animal she came in contact with including the possums that would come on the porch and eat the cat food she laid out for the neighborhood cats. Becky and her late husband Edward loved hummingbirds and fishing together every chance that they could get. Becky loved to bake and was famous for her German Chocolate cake. She even went to school to learn how to decorate cakes, which she did on many occasions. Becky is preceded in death by her parents, Murdock and Georgia Kierce; the love of her life, her husband, Edward; brothers, Rudolph and Jack Kierce; extended family members, Clouise Yates, Bessie Yates, Ernest Yates and Aldean Maynard. Becky is survived by her son Johnny (Julie) Yates; daughter, Kathy (Tim) Bush; grandsons, Tanner Bush and Shelby (Marianne) Bush; extended family members, Jearldean Archie, Bueford and Fay Yates, and Doris Ritter. Becky was loved by everyone who knew her and will be deeply missed by all.
