Lulu Belle Marlene "Lou" Kopp

1934 - 2025

Janesville, WI - Lulu Belle M. Kopp, 90, passed away on June 23, 2025, at Oak Park Place. "Lou" was born on October 24, 1934, to Henry and Clara (Lehman) Hageman in Madison, WI. She graduated from Evansville High School and married Walter Kopp on February 28, 1953, at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. Lou and Walter started farming in 1955, eventually owning and raising their family on the same farm in Center Township where Lou grew up. After retiring from farming, they had the freedom to travel. The majority of those trips were to attend sporting events, grandparent days, confirmations, and graduations of their grandchildren in several different states.

Lou was an expert seamstress and loved working in her yard and flower gardens. She served as Center Township Treasurer for many years and was involved with her church.

Lou is survived by two sons, Donald (Linda) of Oshkosh and James (Patricia) of Greenville, SC; two daughters, Sharon (Kenneth) Perry of Janesville and Susan (Douglas) Krause of Whitewater; one sister, Barbara (Jerry) Judd of Mt. Horeb; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband; one brother and his wife, Roy and Bonnie Hageman; and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held at ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH on Monday, June 30, 2025, at 11:00 am, with Reverend Donald Fehlauer officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery immediately following. Visitation will be from 9:30 am Monday until the time of the service at the CHURCH. HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME, Janesville, is assisting the family.
