Luneta Morales (nee Saron), 74, of Hackensack, passed away on July 13, 2024. Luneta was born on January 3, 1950 in Aklan,Philippines to the late Vicente and Natividad Saron. Luneta attended Far Eastern University in the Philippines for three years, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology from De Ocampo Memorial College in the Philippines. Luneta, better known as Lunnie to her family and friends, came to the United States in 1979 where she joined her late husband first in Jersey City and then in various locations throughout Bergen County. Lunnie began working within days of her arrival to the United States and didn't stop until she retired in late 2020. Before retiring a little over three years ago, she was a Medical Technologist for Quest Diagnostics in Teterboro for over forty years where she worked the overnight shift while taking care of her two children along with her husband during the day. Extremely hard-working and dedicated to her family and her work, Lunnie was a caretaker and provider and loving wife, mother, coworker and friend. Despite the geographic distance, she maintained close ties with her many relatives and friends in the Philippines throughout her life. Through it all, she maintained an affectionate sense of humor and brought joy and laughter to the many lives that she touched. She will be remembered for her deep love and dedication to her family, her resilience and fortitude and her unwavering devotion to the Catholic faith.
Luneta was a parishioner of St. Joseph R.C. Church in Lodi. Beloved wife of the late Emerito Morales. Loving mother of Richard Morales and wife Michele, Kristine Dobrich and husband Oliver. Dear sister of Leonardo (Luz), Ludovico (Herminia), Pablo (Josephine), Felizardo (Hilda), Lolita (Bienvenido) Javier, Prospero (Emma), Carmelita (Benito) Panganiban, Nonimo (Bernardita), Roselyn (Sofronio) Cachapero, and Felicita. Dear aunt of Bong-Bong, Edwin, Jenny, Frederick Neil (Irene), Joralyn (Arnold) Singh, Jonathan (Anna), Mely (Jerry) Yanilla, Waine (Rose), Ning-Ning, Christopher, Myrell, Lorena (Romy) Apolonio, Henry (Evelyn) Javier, Bienvenido Javier, Janice, Marigold, Lester, Ebonny, Elenora, Leonora, Monette, Emerson, Carolyn (Johnny) Gonzales, Mary Jean, Sherry (Marlon) Victa, Sharon, Amelia, Desiree (Mark) Reyes, and Mark Glenn
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, 9:00am at Di Chiara Funeral Home, 300 Main St., Lodi then to Sacred Heart Church for a 10:00am Funeral Mass. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. Visitation Monday July 22, 2024, 4:00pm to 8:00pm.
