Lupe Thorn Obituary
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Gilbert and Art. She is survived by her children: Ray, Salvador Jr., Christopher and Adam Rico, Siblings: Frances Howard (J.D.), Lawrence Gonzales (JoAnn), Gloria Friday (Larry), TC Chavez (Howard Thevenet), Aristeo Gonzales (Lesa). Lupe is survived by her grandchildren: James, Drizz, Abby, Ana and Adam and many nieces and nephews.
Lupe worked as a Server for the better part of her life, having worked at the Vagabond Chinese Restaurant for Gin and Nancy Jue until they shut their doors. She also worked at El Camino for Nick and Virginia Smallridge, who treated her graciously. She moved to Arizona in 1988, and retired from the Mesa School District as a bus driver. In 2015 she returned to NM to be with family and enjoy retirement. Lupe loved to sew, take long walks, take drives, dance, bingo, cook, bake, and watch soap operas. She had a boisterous, fun, sarcastic personality. Her death leaves a void in the family she loved so much, she adored her boys.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 26 at 12:00, 406 Eastwood Lp, Socorro, NM.

Mom, thank you for teaching me about the important stuff. That wealth is not riches but that a mother´s love and teachings are priceless. I will miss our chats on my drive home. We will continue our chats with through and with our lord and savior Jesus Christ, Amen. You will be missed, thank you for everything, we love and miss you, I love and miss you.
