Terry Thorn

1956 - 2026

Terry Ross Thorn, 69, passed away on January 26, 2026, in Tupelo, Mississippi, where he lived for much of his life. He was a graduate of Tremont High School in 1975.

Terry was a Christ filled man whose faith guided him throughout his life. Born in Red Bay, Alabama, he was, rightfully, the biggest Crimson Tide fan anyone knew. Some of Terry's greatest joys came from sharing that passion with his grandchildren, Paxtyn ("Little Buddy") and Evie ("Butterbean") from football games to gymnastics competitions! In earlier years he enjoyed skydiving and riding his motorcycle as a way to live life to the fullest. His only son, Kevin, brought him great joy, especially through his musical talents on the guitar.

Terry proudly served his country in the Army National Guard. He later dedicated many years of his professional life to Morgan Fabrics, where he served as General Manager and was respected for his leadership, work ethic, and commitment.

He is survived by his son, Kevin Thorn; his stepdaughter, Jessica Boyd (Corbin); and his beloved grandchildren, Paxtyn and Evelynn Boyd of Tupelo. He is also survived by his sister, Linda Joy Thorn of Fulton; his brothers, Charles Thorn (Rebecca) of Zion, IL. Larry Thorn (Audrey) of Tupelo; Sister in law Shirley Thorn of Kenosha, WI and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Jewel Thorn of Tremont, and his siblings Cecil Thorn, Jerry Thorn, Patricia Boren, and Brenda Geegan.

In keeping with Terry's wishes, no funeral service will be held. The family plans to honor his life with a memorial for those closest to him.
