It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Luray Markgraf on January 10th 2026, at HealthPark Hospital in Fort Myers FL.(pneumonia)
Born in
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on December 21, 1936 to the late Jess & Isabel Graziani, Luray was a woman defined by her devotion to her family & her Faith She was the dear Sister to the late Darius Graziani & Eleanor Costello. Luray is now united with her beloved husband, Ronad Markgraf. She leaves behind a legacy of love for her only child Donna Fahey & husband Francis (Bud) Fahey; her Grandchildren Sean Fahey & wife Caloline, Kimberly Fahey; and was eagerly awaiting the birth of her Great Grandson in May to Sean & Caroline. She was a cherished Aunt to Darius, Jess, Beth, Edward, Christina, Charles, & Regina. Her spirit also lives on through her devoted "Fur Babies," Mr Fin & Sir Poe.
Luray's life was filled with vibrant communities and lasting friendships. She was employed at Braits of Mayfair for many years. From her "Sorority sisters" in NE Philadelphia, to her dear friends in Holiday Village,
Mt Laurel, NJ, and her most recent community listening to music and taking walks at Porta Vista Condo's in
Cape Coral, FL, Luray brought people together. She found great joy in spending time by the pool, gathering at the clubhouse and participating in Bible Study in Florida.
She and Ron shared a deep love for the outdoors, often escaping to their Arrowhead Lakes in the Pocono Mountains. A devoted Catholic, Luray's faith was the cornerstone of her life. She particularly loved the Christmas season and was "infamous" for her homemade Christmas Cookies--most notably Kifli--which we will keep making in her honor.
We ask that in lieu of flowers to make Donations in her Name to The Global Cardiac Alliance and Help us change the World for children with Heart Disease no matter where they are in the World
