Zoot was known for his infectious smile and ability to bring joy to any situation. His warmth and humor left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Whether out on the water boating, enjoying the great outdoors, cheering on a baseball game, or working under the hood of a car, he found happiness in the simple pleasures of life.
He shared a deep bond with Deanne Pederson, whom he cherished as his love, caregiver, and best friend. He also held a special place in his heart for her children, Brittani (Victor) Bednarski and Brendin Pederson. Zoot was a devoted father to Zachary Tyler Hixson and Emerson Taylor Hixson and treasured his role as a grandfather to Karrera Hixson, Aiden Hixson, and Ryland Hixson. His family extended to his siblings Quinn Hixson Jr., Princess (Russell) Snyder, Tonya (John) Whitt, and Carla Hixson Hayward. He was also loved by many nieces and nephews. He left behind his special companion and protector, Max.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Quinn L. Hixson Sr., and his son Caleb Tanner Hixson. Though they are no longer here, their memories remained close to his heart.
