It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard J. "Rich" Hixson, Clyde, a beloved husband, father, and friend, who left this world on November 20, 2025, at the age of 53. Born on December 20, 1972.
Richard was a dedicated professional, serving as the Vice President of Commercial Operations at Pace Analytical, where he was known for his leadership.
Above all, Richard treasured his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Angela Hixson, and their four cherished children: Hope, Isabella, Ethan and fiancé Ashley Rhine, and Aaron. He took immense pride in being a father and was deeply devoted to his role as a Papa to little Olivia. His nurturing spirit extended to his parents, Harold and Patricia Hixson, and his sister Aimee Erwin, along with her husband Jason Erwin, and his nieces Berkley, Addison and Maelyn.
Rich's warmth, kindness, and zest for life will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be remembered for his infectious smile, his engaging stories, and his steadfast dedication to loved ones. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anybody. He touched the lives of many student athletes through coaching and as a PIAA official. He was a member of Clyde Vol. Fire Co. and Bethel United Presbyterian Church.
All services at this time will be private, a public memorial will be announced for a later date. Interment will be Bethel Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Rich and be made to Clyde Vol. Fire Co., or to United Athletic Program.
In honoring his spirit, we are reminded that Richard's legacy will live on through the love he shared and the lives he touched. May he rest peacefully, surrounded by the love and memories we hold dear.
