Dad is under Mom's supervision in heaven now! Luther Edwin Moulder, 89, of Dickinson, Texas passed away April 27, 2025 at Serenity Gardens. Luther was born in Carmona, Texas September 10, 1935 to Simon P. and Ione Fann Moulder. He joined Union Carbide in 1960 as a pipefitter apprentice, retiring as Maintenance Supervisor in 1994. Luther enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and family travel.
Luther was preceded in death by his wife, Karen A. Woodcock Moulder, and his parents. He was also preceded by 8 siblings; Hazel Warren and husband Cruz, Jonell Hearn and husband Clayton, Pete D. Moulder and wife Merle, Mary Placker and husband Harry, Doris (Dottie) Kendricks and husband Troy, Rex Moulder and wife Iris, Bettye Pipes, and Larry (PeeWee) Moulder; as well as brothers-in-law D.L. Burkes and Michael K. Woodcock, and sister-in-law Colleen Woodcock.
He is survived by a daughter Lisa DeWeese and husband Roger; and sons, Robert Moulder, and Ken Moulder and Deborah Levis; granddaughters, Katlyn Callahan and husband Chris, and Madelyn Moulder, and their mother Debra Moulder; Great-grandchildren; Cooper, Annie and Sadie Callahan; sister Fayma Burkes, and Brother-in-laws Larry Woodcock, and Robert Woodcock and wife Connie, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A visitation in his honor will be held Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Crowder Funeral Home, Dickinson, Texas. Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 2, 2025 at 11:00 am, Crowder Funeral Home, Dickinson, Texas will interment following at Mt. Oliver Cemetery, Dickinson, Texas. Honored to serve as pall bearers are Chris Callahan, Kenny Moulder, Ricky Moulder, Robert Woodcock, Jr., John Woodcock, and Doug Temple.
Luther's family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Serenity Gardens, Dickinson, for all their patient and loving care of their father these last few years.
