Ray Sims, 83, of Cleveland, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025. Ray was born on January 13, 1942 in Cleveland, Tennessee to the late Andrew Jackson "Jack" and Nannie Louella Sims. He was employed at Maytag for many years where he was a member of their bowling team, golf team, and baseball team. In his spare time Ray enjoyed watching Nascar races and football games.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, George Lee Sims, Roy Sims, and Frank Sims; and his sister, Louise Mysinger.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 62 years, Reba Jo Sims; sister, Jeannie Haggard; 17 nieces and nephews; and 16 great nieces and nephews; along with a host of extended family and friends.
The family will be receiving friends on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home - The Cleveland Chapel. A graveside service is to follow at 2:30 pm at Union Grove Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery with Reverend Guinn Green officiating
