Devoted to the family and her faith
WATERBURY - It is with profound sadness that the family of Luz Celenia Molina, age 76 of Waterbury, share the news of her peaceful passing on Monday, December 23, 2024, at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was the widow of William Davila.
Mrs. Molina was born on December 19, 1948 in Arecibo Puerto Rico the daughter of the late Francisca Colon and Delores Belen. She was educated in P.R. and after her marriage moved to Newark NJ where she raised her four children and then moved their family again to Waterbury in 1985. Luz was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother but more than anything else she was a homemaker and outstanding cook. What brought her the most joy in life was her passion to cook and feed her family. As a mother and grandmother her children and their children meant the world to Luz and they were reason for being, the light in her eyes. She was selfless, caring and loving with a vibrant soul who would do anything to see her family successful and happy. Luz had a strong belief in prayer and prayed often especially for her family and she always enjoyed a trip to the casino. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her. Rest in peace, mommie, your love, and joyful spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory are children: Linda, Doris, John and Kurt her beloved 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, 4 brothers and 2 sisters as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
