Le sobreviven su padre, Abelardo Sanchez; su madre, Annette Lopez; su madrastra, Maria Herrera; y su padrastro, Felipe Becerra. Luz deja en vida a su amado hijo de 13 años, Kristian Abelardo Fernandez, quien era el centro de su mundo.
También le sobreviven sus hermanos, Pamela y su esposo Angel Ortega, y Jose y su esposa Marquita; sus hermanastros, Santiago y Alejandro; así como su sobrino y sobrina, Roman y Makayla.

With deep sorrow, the family announces the passing of Luz Verónica Sanchez, who was born on November 28, 1989, in Fort Worth, Texas, and passed away on November 12, 2025, also in Fort Worth. Luz was a calm, gentle, and warm-hearted woman whose quiet presence brought comfort to everyone around her. She was loved deeply by her family and friends. She enjoyed watching scary movies and spending quality time with her son, as well as with her niece and nephew, who brought her joy and companionship. Luz's mellow spirit and caring nature made her someone who was easy to love and deeply appreciated. She is survived by her father, Abelardo Sanchez; her mother, Annette Lopez; and her stepmother Maria Herrera, and step father; Felipe Becera. Luz leaves behind her beloved 13-year-old son, Kristian Abelardo Fernandez, who was the center of her world. She is also survived by her siblings, Pamela and her husband Angel Ortega, and Jose and his wife Marquita; her stepbrothers, Santiago and Alejandro; as well as her nephew and niece, Roman and Makayla. Luz's memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family, and her quiet, loving presence will never be forgotten.
