Luzetta Gale Moore Pratt Sleeth, 95, of Montana Mines, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 08, 2024. She was born March 21, 1929, in Mooresville, WV.
Luzetta was a strong believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. She routinely witnessed and visited family, shut-ins, friends and her Church family, showing by example how to live a Christian life. As a member of Victory Baptist Church in Fairmont, she spent numerous hours giving service to the Lord. She had a special interest in the Missionary Ministry and helped make thousands of Bibles to distribute. She loved and helped others unselfishly and, she generously gave to many in need.
Luzetta was a dedicated homemaker, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend to the many who had the opportunity to know her. She loved to spend quality time with her family and friends, and they were very important to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Elza Moore and Rosa Gale Marshall Moore of Pentress, WV; her grandparents, Jacob R. Moore and Susie Moore of Mooresville, WV and Joseph and Sine Marshall of Blacksville, WV; Neil Barrack Pratt, her loving husband for 37 years; Ronald Sleeth, her second husband for 4-1/2 years; a brother, Edgar Moore; a son in-law, Pastor Edward Woods, and two grandsons, Chad Fletcher and Chris Pratt; step sons William Sleeth and John Ronald Sleeth (Sheila).
Surviving are 6 children, Roger Pratt and Terry of Fairmont, WV; Linda Fletcher and Robert (Bob) of Fairmont, WV; Rose Marie Woods of Waynesburg, PA; Nathan Pratt and Cindy of Fairmont, WV; Earlene Dixon and Ken of Glen Dale, WV; Berri Pratt and Travis Haney of Norfolk, VA.; step-son David and Debbie Sleeth of Fairmont; She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and 19 step-grandchildren that loved her and were very close to her.
Friends may call at Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Nathan Barker and Pastor David Woods officiating. Burial will follow at Montana Mines Cemetery.
