Lydia Lira Barrios age 75 of Amarillo, Texas joined her Heavenly Father on November 29, 2025.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 9 am to 11 am at Centro Cristiano Peniel Church, 901 S. Philadelphia. Funeral services will begin at 11 am. Burial will follow at Llano Cemetery.
Lydia Lira Barrios came into this world December 25,1949 in Caldwell, Texas to Bacilio and Margo Lira. Lydia was the youngest girl in a family of six children. She attended Eastern High School in Lansing Michigan. Lydia met Antonio Barrios in Lansing, Michigan in 1965. Lydia gave birth to nine children, but only four survived. Lydia was a beloved caretaker and housekeeper for the Biggs/Archer family for 26 years.
Lydia is survived by her husband Antonio Barrios and her beloved children Linda Barrios and significant other Israel Sanchez, Michael Barrios and wife Celeste, Sheila Arenas and husband Louis, and David Barrios and significant other Yolanda.
Surviving Siblings include Mike Lira, Gloria Martinez, and Luis Lira. Eight surviving grandchildren, Jasmine Barrios, Joshua Arenas, Samantha Barrios, Michael Barrios II, Zach Barrios, Jonathan Arenas, Matthew Barrios, and Lydia Janet Barrios and three great grandchildren Abigail Barrios, Adrien Barrios, and Noah Rey Barrios.
Lydia was preceded in death by her mother Margo, father Bacilio, four children, a daughter Juanita, a son Michael, a daughter Angela and a daughter Margo, her brother Robert Lira, and sister Aurora Trevino.
