Lyle E. Benedict

Lyle E. Benedict, 83, of Lincoln passed away February 23rd, 2025. Visitation will be 5-7pm on Friday February 28th at Holland Barry and Bennett Funeral Home. Casual dress is requested.
Lyle was born February 11th, 1942, in Elkhart, IL, the son of Raymond Benedict and Martha (Jones). He married Ronele (Lee) on July 9th, 1984, they were together for a total of 45years. She survives.
Lyle worked at the bottle factory for 7 years. He then started a plumbing and drain cleaning business in 1965. He ran the plumbing and drain cleaning business for almost 60 years. His health in 2021 would not allow him to continue his business. Throughout the years Lyle truly enjoyed his business. Lyle especially enjoyed the relationships and good friends he made through the business. Lyle enjoyed rides through the park and loved and cared for his animals.
Survivors include his children: Jimmy Benedict, Lyle Jr. Benedict and Darrell (Patty) Benedict, siblings: Brenda (Steve) Hankins, Roger (Cheryl) Benedict, Randy Benedict, Ellen Eggers, Judy Baker and Susie (Wayne) Eatherly, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Kathy Benedict, two infant children, brothers: Dean Benedict, Wayne Benedict, Kenny Benedict and Raymond Benedict, sisters: Ruby Skelton and Carol Parcesseppe.
