Lyle Fylstra Obituary
Memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at Elim Meadows Chapel, 740 2nd St. SE, Milaca, MN 56353.
Lyle was born in Milaca to Erie and Peter Fylstra on May 18, 1930. He grew up in Milaca and graduated from Milaca High School. Lyle married Marlys Peterson on October 14, 1950, at Zion Lutheran Church of Milaca. They were married almost 68 years.
Lyle was a professional photographer while living in Princeton. He worked for Olsen Graphic Products and Colorhouse Inc. in Minneapolis after their move to St. Paul. Marlys and Lyle moved back to Milaca for their retirement.
Lyle was preceded in death by his wife, Marlys; parents, Erie and Peter Fylstra; brothers, Lynn Fylstra and Richard Fylstra.
He is survived by his sister, Loralee (Steve) Stonestrom; children, Brad (Janet), Jan (Jeff) Hermes, Shari (John) Fox, Marc Fylstra; grandchildren, Jeff Jr., (Heather), Christa, Scott (Sharona), Tracy (Chris) Lee, Jessie (Jon) Peterson, Randy, Dan, Cody, Charley and seven great-grandchildren.
We greatly appreciate and thank Elim Country Meadows, Elim Meadows Health Care Center, and Trinity Hospice for all the loving care Lyle received over the past nine years.
