Lyle McGahee Obituary
Lyle was a native of Augusta, Georgia and a longtime member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church. He retired from the business office at The Medical College of Georgia. His heart was serving as an athletic coach for his son's teams and for the community. Lyle loved music, he played the organ and piano from an early age.
Family members in addition to his wife include his children: Tim Curtis McGahee, Patrick Lyle McGahee and his wife Carmen and Sarah Ellen McGahee; grandchildren: Preston, Meredith and Madeline; brother and sister-in-law: Edwin & Claire Batchelor and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Lucille McGahee.
The funeral service will be held Monday, March 4, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Woodlawn United Methodist Church with Rev. Baxter Stanley officiating. Interment will follow in Shadow Lawn Cemetery in LeGrange, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan's Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607 or to Joubert Syndrome Foundation, P.O. Box #84, Spokane, WA 99210
