Lyle Richard Watrous, 91, of Houston Texas, passed from this life on August 30, 2025. Lyle was born on January 30, 1934, to Lucille T Cook and Ray Orten Watrous in Girard Pennsylvania.

Lyle grew up in Girard and graduated from Rice Avenue Union High School on May 28, 1952. He served in the United States Marine Corps from September of 1953 until September of 1956. He married Linda Ann Paulson on August 8, 1957, and they enjoyed 54 years before her passing in 2012.

Lyle graduated from The University of Oklahoma in June of 1960 with a bachelor's degree in business. He moved to Houston and began a 20-year career with Ernst and Ernst Accounting Firm.

In 1962 he also became involved in the Houston Junior Chamber of Commerce. In 1968 Lyle served on the Board of Directors as Executive Vice President.

In 1981 Lyle joined Home Entertainment as the Accounting Controller. He spent the next 34 years with the company. Lyle finished his career there as the President/CEO of Industrial Audio/Video Inc. He retired in March of 2015 at the age of 81.

Lyle leaves behind his daughter Karen Anderson; son Ray Watrous; son Dale Watrous; son Craig Watrous; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Lyle was preceded in death by his wife Linda Ann Watrous; sister Dorothy Wagner and brother Paul Watrous.

A committal service will be held for both him and his beloved wife Linda at Houston National Cemetery on October 14, 2025, at 11:30 am. If you plan to attend the committal service, please arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled time and get in lane 1.
