Lynda June Alcorn, age 76, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025, just days before her 77th birthday. She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Thomas Rook Alcorn Jr., and is survived by her mother, June Alcorn and siblings Thomas Alcorn III, Cheryl Walczak, and Debra Keithly, as well as many nieces, nephews, and countless dear friends who will miss her deeply. Lynda was born and raised in South St. Paul, where she made many fond memories and lifelong friendships. A cheerleader during her high school years, she brought joy and spirit to everything she did. After high school, she began her professional life for the State of Minnesota at the Department of Natural Resources for several years. She spent the remainder of her career at Cenex, where her kindness and strong work ethic left a lasting impression. In midlife, Lynda was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, a challenge she faced with remarkable courage, faith, and grace. Her unwavering Christian faith was evident to all who knew her, especially in the joy she radiated-even on challenging days. A passionate Minnesotan, Lynda was an avid sports fan who rarely missed a game. She loved cheering on her beloved Twins, Wild, and Vikings teams, as well as the MN State High School hockey tournament. She kept her season tickets for the tournament for years, even when she could no longer attend in person, generously sharing them with others so they could enjoy the experience. For the past 15 years, Lynda made her home at Cassia Senior Living in Hastings, where she formed close and meaningful bonds with both neighbors and staff. The exceptional team there cared for her with love and compassion, and she, in turn, touched their lives with her warmth, humor, and strength of spirit. Lynda's legacy is one of kindness, resilience, and faith. She will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Acacia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the National MS Society in Lynda's memory, to help support research and services for others living with multiple sclerosis.
