Ella Rose Alcorn AKA (Markus), 16, of Orem Utah, passed away unexpectedly on August 12, 2025 at home. She was born on September 20, 2008, in Payson, Utah to Arlo Justin Alcorn and Lisa Eugenia Alcorn. Ella was a bright, energetic, determined, artistically talented daughter, and older sister to Brinley.
She would have started 11th grade at Orem High. She spent the previous year attending 10th grade at Brookings Harbor High School while living with her grandpa, Shane. She was a very motivated student, worked hard to get good grades and occasionally worked at Kneaders Bakery with her dad packing candy.
She is survived by her father, Arlo Justin Alcorn, stepmother, Megan Mueller; her mother Lisa Eugenia Alcorn, her younger sister Brinley, grandparents, great grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins.
Ella's passions included: Anime, Japanese culture, drawing and art, ceramics, writing, cosplay, sewing and crafting, eating with chopsticks, playing video games with cousins, hanging with friends, pulling pranks and making people laugh, and loved making and giving homemade gifts.
Ella struggled with many allergies and asthma throughout her life, but remained positive and enjoyed getting out hiking and exploring the beach with family and friends.
She was very artistic and talented. She wrote books, devoted a lot of time in making her own cosplay costumes, and absolutely loved Halloween scaring all of the trick or treaters.
She had a soft spot in her heart for animals. She would always stop to pet any cat or dog that crossed her path. She had a hamster, a cat, a husky that she trained as a pup, and she really wanted a snake.
She was very independent, and liked to be in control of everything she did. When she set her mind to something she wouldn't stop until her goals were achieved.
Heaven is a better place because Ella is there. We love you and miss you so much Ella. You will be in our thoughts and hearts forever.
Please join us for a Celebration of Life that will be held in Orem, Utah at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, located at 646 E 800 N. on Saturday, August 16th, 2025 at 3pm.
If you wish to help the family with funeral costs, any contributions will help lift a piece of that burden.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your love, support, and kindness during this difficult time.
