Lynda Joy Bolf
Lynda Joy Bolf, age 67, passed away on November 5, 2025, after courageously fighting a 2-year battle with cancer.
Lynda was born in Duluth to Harry and Joan Lundgren and grew up with her 4 brothers and 3 sisters on their family farm in Hermantown.
Upon graduating from Hermantown High School in 1976, Lynda immediately began her career in the banking world. She started at an entry level position that would eventually lead to a 35- year career with US Bank. She retired in 2013 as President & Regional Manager of 5 US Bank branches in Northern Minnesota.
In 1989, Lynda married Robert (Bob) Bolf and moved to Hibbing, where they raised their daughter Katherine (Katie) Bolf. They spent many of those early years traveling the USA following their daughter's career on the USTA Tennis circuit.
Lynda was very involved in community service. She was the first female to serve on the board of directors at Mesaba Country Club, was appointed to the city's HEDA Board, IRRRB Technical Advisory Board, Hibbing Foundation, United Way, Chamber of Commerce and Angel Fund.
Lynda was an avid golfer and curler. She loved fishing at her family cabin on Prairie Lake and the "fishing camp" in Ninilchik, Alaska. She also loved to travel, spend her retirement wintering in Goodyear, Arizona and visiting her 2 grandchildren In Cleveland, Ohio.
Lynda is survived by her husband Bob, daughter Katie (William) Moran, grandchildren Rose & William Moran, brothers Mike (Heidi), Dan (Lori), Richard & Don (Sue) Lundgren and her sisters Sue (Ed) Brockman, Barbara (Rick) Shefchik and Cathy (Bob) Ryan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry & Joan Lundgren.
A celebration of Lynda's life will be held at the Dougherty Funeral Home in Hibbing from 10 a.m. to noon on Monday, November 10, 2025. In lieu of gifts or memorials, Lynda requested prayers for those individuals and families that are experiencing their own battles with cancer.
