Lynda Koon Conner

Lynda Koon Conner, 81 of White Springs, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at the E.T. York Care Center in Gainesville. She was born and raised in High Springs, the third of four children, to the late Jack P. Koon and Flora Rouse Koon. Mrs. Conner was a graduate of Santa Fe High School class of 1962 and retired with 28 years of service at RMC in Lake Butler with the Florida Department of Corrections. She was a longtime resident of White Springs and attended the White Springs Methodist Church when able. Mrs. Conner enjoyed reading historical books and romance novels, and traveling. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Charles Donald Conner on April 27, 2025; and one grandson, Jacob Gravenor.
Survivors include her children, Melanie Cox (Eddie) of Alachua, Melissa Hamm of Birmingham, AL, Michelle Lincoln (Paul) of Williston, Robin Jones (Jesse) of Jonesville and Terry Conner (Gina) of White Springs; her siblings, Florence Yarbrough of Jackson, GA, Jack Koon of High Springs and Gail Jerrell-Henderson (Richard) of Alachua; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Conner will be conducted on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 5:00 PM at Riverside Cemetery in White Springs. Interment will follow. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Haven Hospice in memory of Mrs. Conner.
