Lynda L. Diessner, 73 of Spalding, NE, passed away following her 12 year battle with cancer on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Cloverlodge Care Center, St. Edward, Nebraska.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Spalding, NE with Fr. Lawrence Vadakkan officiating. Burial will follow at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, in Spalding, NE. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the church with a 7 p.m. wake service.
Memorials are suggested to the Spalding Public Library.

Lynda Louise Diessner, the daughter of Howard and Helen Anne (Schultz) Larsen was born on May 20, 1950 at Omaha, NE. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Pius Catholic Church. Lynda attended school in Omaha and graduated from Burke High School in 1968.
On May 10, 1969, Lynda was united in marriage to Robert Diessner at St. Pius Catholic Church. The couple made their home near Spalding, NE. Lynda worked at home raising her three children and helping on the farm. As the kids got older, Lynda started attending college to earn her teaching degree. In 1991 she received her Masters of Speech Communication from Kearney State College. She taught English at Cedar Rapids, Spalding, and Wheeler Central. She also coached Speech and One Act. For 15 years Lynda wrote a column for the local papers called "Where the Wind Blows".
Lynda was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Spalding, NE along with the Altar Society. She was a member of a book club, and writers club. When her girls were younger Lynda was a Girl Scout Leader. She also loved to golf and spend time with her family.
Lynda is survived by her husband Robert of Primrose, NE; son Joseph of Spalding, NE; daughters: Jill (Steve) Evers of Omaha, NE; Carol (Matthew) Rojas of Evans, GA; 5 grandchildren: Kale and Lauren Diessner of Greeley, NE: Ryan Evers of Omaha, NE; Simone and Kira Rojas of Evans, GA; brothers: Larry (Ernie) Larsen and Richard (Mary) Larsen both of Omaha, NE; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
