Lynda L. Eaves, 82, of Galesburg, died at 11:14 a.m. Monday, February 2, 2026, at Allure of Lake Storey.

She was born March 12, 1943, in Galesburg, the daughter of Ralph D. and Margaret (Hillard) Cannon Sr. She married Charles K. Eaves on November 2, 1960, in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on July 30, 2017, after nearly 57 years of marriage.

She is survived by two daughters, Pamela (Kevin) Collins and Tammy (Steve Myers) Eaves, both of Galesburg; three grandchildren, Tiffanny (Jeremy) Powell of Bloomington, Sara (Tyler) Nelson of Galesburg, and Alex Fensterer of East Peoria; six great grandchildren, Samuel, Kaylynn, Abbigail, LaMya, Jerry, and Willie; two sisters, Connie (Don) Dawson of Morton and Debbie Carlson of Galesburg; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Heidi Eaves; two brothers, Ralph Cannon Jr. and Robert Cannon; and a sister, Bonnie Axcell.

Lynda graduated from Galesburg High School in 1960. She worked a variety of jobs over the years, including Benner Tea and Giant Foods. She retired from Sears, where she worked for over 10 years in appliance and tool sales. Lynda enjoyed traveling and playing golf.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday, February 6, 2026, at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the Knox County Humane Society. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral and Cremation Services is honored to serve the family. I worked with Linda at giant foods and she was a lot of fun always funny she loved her dog tippy when she was at sears she talked me into Buying a sweeper from her and we still use it she always had a smile on her face
