Lynda Scattereggia, (nee Locicero), 67, of Lincoln Park, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025. Lynda was a devoted family member and talented crafter, known for her love of knitting, crochet, and needlepoint, finding joy in creating and gifting beautiful things by hand. Her passion and support of scholastics and reading was unmatched- an inherent teacher to so many, she was an advocate for a solid student education and often read several books a week. A proud Yankees fan, she always cheered on her team with heart. Lynda also had a gift for cooking, bringing people together around the table with meals made with love. Above all, she cherished her family, whom she loved deeply and unconditionally.
Beloved wife of David Scattereggia, her husband of 41 years. Cherished sister of Tom Locicero and his wife Sally Ann, Marianne Locicero, Marguerite Theuret and her husband Scott, and loving sister in-law of Louis Cuglietto. Loving aunt of Marc Makowsky and his wife Allison, Jason Cuglietto, Anthony Locicero, goddaughter, Danielle Cuglietto, David Cuglietto and his wife Lisa, Angelina Maggio, her goddaughter, Skylar Theuret, and great nieces and nephews, Luke, Jake L., Kylie, Jake M., Matthew, Michael, Dominic, and goddaughter Deanna Tedesco
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Avenue, Paramus, NJ. Funeral Service will be held at 9:30 am on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Visitation R.C. Church, 234 N.
