Lynette Aileen Willis Resch was born September 8, 1945 in Perryton, Texas to Opal Maurine Fogleson Willis and Clarence Otis Willis and returned to her Heavenly Father on November 6, 2022 surrounded by family.
Lynette joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when she was thirteen years old, alongside her parents and brother. She married Robert Frank Resch on January 31, 1981 for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple. Lynette served many callings within the church graciously, and with a kind heart, serving others. Lynette loved the gospel and often shared her testimony and her love of her Heavenly Father and Jesus to her children, grandchildren, and friends.
After an accident on her foot, she moved to Logan, Utah residing with her son, Jordan, and his wife, Natalie, and their three children. She spent 8 wonderful years being a full-time grandma to her grandchildren and teaching lifelong lessons on how to serve, how to care for others, and how to live with an attitude of gratitude despite trials and tribulations. Lynette always put others before herself, constantly thinking about different things she could create and gift, meals she could provide, or phone calls she could make to lift another’s day.
Lynette is preceded in death by her parents, Opal and Clarence Willis, brother Phillip Everett Willis, husband Robert Frank Resch, nephew Adam Willis, and many aunts, uncles, and grandparents. Lynette is survived by her children: Jordan Resch (Natalie), Robert Resch Jr. (Aimee), Anna Resch, Robert Mayo (Aileen), Reggie Gabriel (Dixie), Melissa Fryman, and grandchildren.
Services will be on Saturday November 12, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Hyde Park Stake Center (535 East 200 South, Hyde Park, UT 84318). Interment will be held at Murray City Cemetery.
