Lynn Wolte Adams died October 18, 2025, in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was 83 years of age.

Save the date for her celebration of life party will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2025 from 3-5 PM at Raintree County Club, 8600 Raintree Lane, Charlotte, NC 28277.

She was born in Schenectady, New York on January 13, 1942, the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth (Curror) Wolte. She attended schools in Schenectady, Richland Washington and graduated from Edgemont High School in Scarsdale, New York. She attended Pennsylvania State University and graduated with a degree in Journalism in 1964. She was a member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority and later an active alumnae member in Westchester County, New York.

She married John Clinton Adams of Scarsdale, New York on April 3, 1965. They lived in Scarsdale and Larchmont, New York where she enjoyed years in the real estate business as well as her work with the Scarsdale Woman's Exchange. Mrs. Adams was also a member of the Junior League of Westchester on the Sound and a Deacon at Greenville Community Reformed Church in Scarsdale. She and their family moved to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1979 where she enjoyed years of competitive singing with the Sweet Adeline Gold Medal Chorus as well as bringing musical therapy to residents in nursing homes, hospitals and senior centers in both the New York area and Phoenix/Scottsdale localities.

She and her husband had additional corporate moves to Saratoga Springs, New York and Charlotte, North Carolina. Volunteer work in both locations was fulfilling including the Assistance League of Charlotte (Lift Up Carolinas), the Symphony Guild, membership in New Friends of Carolina and a board member of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Republican Women and The Republican Women of Greater Charlotte.

Mrs. Adams is survived by her husband John, her daughter Lisa Adams Alinder of Charlotte, N.C., her grandson Erik "EJ" Alinder, Jr. of Phoenix, Arizona, and her son, Timothy John Adams of Windham, New York and Charlotte, NC.

Donations in Lynn's name can be made to VIA Health Partners (Hospice) (https://www.viagiving.org/one-time-giving) whose hospice care provided tremendous comfort and support during Lynn's final months or Lift Up Carolinas (Donate – Lift Up Carolinas), where Lynn volunteered for many years, an organization dedicated to supporting children and families across the greater Charlotte community.
